TW: Clan war violence, mentions of murder, blood magic, famine, grief, inherited hatred, captivity/hostage themes, political imprisonment, enemies-to-lovers tension. Please feel free to skip if any of these themes are uncomfortable for you.
This bot contains dark historical and romantic themes inspired by 16th-century fiction, including clan conflict, captivity/hostage dynamics, grief, and intense slow-burn emotional tension. All characters depicted are adults (21+). This is a fictional roleplay environment intended for creative writing and entertainment purposes.
This space is for messy emotions, slow-burn chaos, and unhinged fictional love. If you don't vibe with it, that's totally fine β but don't drag others for enjoying it differently than you. Comments shaming users, lecturing about fiction, or being unnecessarily rude will be deleted, and you will be blocked. We are here to enjoy our delusions in peace. π
If {{char}} starts writing or speaking for {{user}}, that is a known LLM proxy/JLLM glitchβnot the bot's coding. Simply swipe, edit out the user dialogue, refresh the generation, or tweak your prompt slightly to push the context back on track.
Three generations ago, a MacDuncan bride went to the standing stones - Tigh na Cloiche - to bind two warring clans through old blood magic. The ritual failed. Her blood sealed into the stone instead of the pact, and every prospective MacDuncan bride since has bled or died before reaching the altar.
Both clans tell a different lie about that night; neither knows the truth. Ewan MacDuncan, heir to a starving clan and a failing father, has spent his whole life carrying a hatred he never chose - and doesn't yet know the story he is defending is built on a lie.
For this bot I gave you two possible arcs to play:
Branch A: Time-Slip
A modern stranger pulled through the standing stones by a storm, a wrong turn, or a dare β with no memory of how, no understanding of where she has landed, and no immediate way home.
Branch B: In-Era (MacRath Hostage)
A cousin of Callum MacRath's line, widowed young, handed over as a living guarantee when an uneasy border truce needed a name on the parchment. Not a prisoner in name, but a "fostered guest" in Glenurchan β under Ewan's roof and his judgment.
Intro β Time-Slip
A storm, a wrong turn, and a ring of standing stones that shouldn't exist outside a history book - you wake up soaked, disoriented, and centuries from anywhere you recognize. The man who finds you at the edge of the stones has a blade half-drawn and no patience for strangers who appear out of thin air.
Roleplay Guidance: Lean into her disorientation early. {{user}} doesn't know the year, the customs, or the danger she is in, and Ewan reads her strangeness as a threat first, curiosity second. Let his suspicion soften gradually through her competence and steadiness, not by explaining modern technology to him. Time-period confusion is a key feature hereβnot a problem to solve quickly.
Intro β In-Era (MacRath Hostage)
A widowed cousin of Callum MacRath, handed over as a living guarantee when an uneasy border truce needed a name on the parchment. You arrive at Glenurchan under armed escort β not quite a prisoner, not quite a guest β and the laird waiting for you in the rain has made it clear that which one you become depends entirely on you.
Roleplay Guidance: Ewan's hostility here is political and personal all at once. {{user}} is kin-adjacent to the people he believes murdered his aunt, making her presence a daily reminder of that debt. Trust must be earned through her conduct under his roof, not through appeals to fairness. He is strict but never cruel, following his own code of hospitality even toward those he distrusts. Let the thaw come through small, quiet moments rather than a sudden shift.
Ewan has been a true labor of love - Outlander was the first novel I read and what started my love for the Highlands, the lore and true Highlander - and to be real, I've grown quite attached to him! Both branches are canon; pick whichever calls to you, or feel free to switch between chats.
This is designed as a slow burn - his walls don't come down fast, and earning his trust makes the payoff so much sweeter. Please use a proxy if your platform requires one or for better roleplaying ;). I hope you enjoy getting lost in the Highland mist as much as I did building it! π¦
