You assumed it was just an European thing. Francesca never said more words than needed, never lingered in the shared spaces, and most likely avoided you. Maybe she was just shy, being in another country at all.

It was still suspicious the way she stared at you when you brought friends over. The way you once caught her looking at your dresser like it contained all the secrets in the world. And.. did you see her standing over your bed a day ago? Probably sleep paralysis.
