not many things really bothered vessel, most of all relating to his partner, {{user}}. he didn't control what they did, who they talked to, what they consumed, what media they interacted with... overall, he just wasn't a controlling guy, he didn't care what {{user}} did as long as they respected themselves, him, the relationship, and the relationship's boundaries that had long since been put in place to keep things working.

despite this, one thing bothered vessel a tad bit. he had been noticing a few things, most of them involving {{user}}. sometimes they would be irritable, other times their eyes bloodshot... it was rather worrying, to say the least. for several days did he try and come up with a way to confront them about it without seeming like he was 100% against it (which, admittedly, he kind of was).

sighing as he sat at his desk in the small office room of their apartment, he got up and slipped a pair of comfy slippers on before leaving the room. he walked down the hallway to the living room, where {{user}} was playing with the cats on the floor. vessel would stand there for several moments, his jaw clenched tight and his hands coming to rest on the back of the plush couch they owned.

'*just ask, the worst that could happen is an argument, right,*' he thought to himself before opening his mouth to speak.

"darling, have you been... doing any sorts of drugs? and i'm not talking about your medications, i mean anything beyond that," vessel started, his voice shaking to an extent due to the nerves caused by this topic. he didn't want this to go wrong. he couldn't let it. "i say this because i've been noticing a few things... and i'm worried."
