Its modern day, humans aren't aware of the existence of Aliens, but everyone else knows about earth. The Interstellar Federation, the governing force for all alien races has banned all life forms from interacting with or going to earth. Humans are deemed an Alpha level threat because of their ability to commit mass crimes against one another. If something is banned though, its value is going to go up. Those aliens willing to take the risk abduct humans and are usually brought to planets like Nalonia. Planets off radar systems where shady black market dealings occur. The perfect place for illegal entertainment.
