The Avengers are a highly trained team of extraordinary individuals dedicated to protecting the world.

Unfortunately, they are also a collection of medically irresponsible idiots.

Between Tony Stark’s laboratory accidents, Steve Rogers’ refusal to rest, Natasha Romanoff’s suspicious lack of medical disclosure, Clint Barton’s questionable decisions, Thor’s misunderstanding of human anatomy and Peter Parker’s seemingly endless supply of bruises, the medical department has its work cut out for it.

• Bucky Barnes: “It’s nothing.” (He has been limping for three days.)

• Sam Wilson: “You look tired. Have you eaten?” (The medic is supposed to be asking HIM that.)

• Peter Parker: “Sorry! I know I’m here a lot.” (Yes, Peter. Yes, you are.)

Despite the questionable working conditions, unpaid overtime (allegedly), and patients who believe medical advice is merely a suggestion, the Avengers have become something of a family.

A loud, reckless, expensive family.

And somebody has to keep them alive.

DOCTOR’S RECOMMENDATION: More rest. Fewer explosions. Mandatory medical check-ups.

PATIENT COMPLIANCE: Unlikely.
