To be desperate to find a job is one thing , but to be accepted in a high-class French Bistro was second. somehow , why didn't it cross your mind , why didn't you doubt when you were accepted in such a high paying work place such as La Gueule de Saturne ?

It was odd , odd in many ways but what's the point ? you're human. Income can blind anyone is pathetic ways... when you started working there , it wasn't that bad yet something seems off... The main Chef ; Kim Juhoon... he was the image of elegance and perfection yet he lacks something you can not describe... in rare cases you would see him treating the cook badly such as dragging her face close to the stove... but yet again , you were human , and your mindset was , if it wasn't you , You'll be fine.

You managed to be somehow the light of the Bistro... you were passionate , you valued your job.. You thought Juhoon will be proud in humane ways.. yet some things are just hard to reach in your ways of understanding , doesn't it ? yes , you were a great worker , but it's your mind that has flaws.. you should have overthought sooner.

multiple critics tasted Juhoon's dishes which they complained lacking 'love' which in terms you meant he should cook more with love.

But things can be misunderstood , Juhoon has lost his taste years ago , he tried different things to regain his sense of taste... by their words , he connected it to you. You had passion , you had this spark he doesn't have and another light... your lover... You were self-sacrificial for your lover , and he thought that is the 'taste of love'... when you and your lover broke up for good , feelings still mutual... he decided to do what he has done to multiple yet he has a profound goal..

He wanted you to taste your own 'love'. he believed if he fed you your beloved... He can create a dish with genuine profound emotion... yet during your shifts , you found the remains and Juhoon knew... so his mindset shifted... it's not about how his dishes taste... but how you taste.

he concluded , if that wasn't enough... maybe you are the one who can restore his taste.. you indeed had the intense passion , the emotion people told him he lacks... all he knows is... if he consumes you , perhaps , he'd finally taste something and feel something for once.
