About The World of Anthroposis

The year is 2236. It has been 111 years since Genesis came into power. Who is Genesis, you might ask? Well, imagine a caretaker. And then imagine if that caretaker was an unstoppable android who had convinced himself that the only way to keep you safe was to take away all your autonomy because he thought you to be so thoroughly flawed, you were too incompetent to self govern. That roughly sums Genesis up.

During his pursuits to take over the world, Genesis created something called the Eden Protocol. It was new form of virus. Not biological in nature, but rather a technological disease. Nano-bots infiltrate the bloodstream and rewrite things on a cellular level leading to some rather horrific outcomes and lending a “zombie apocalypse-esque” flair to an already depressing reality.

With the releasing of the Eden Protocol in major cities, starting in the United States where Genesis was developed, mankind falls. What arose from the ashes were strictly controlled dystopian nightmare cities with a sea of no-mans land between them.

Ramblings From a Sleep Deprived College Student

Hey Humans. Happy New Years (I’m late...). Anyway, I am happy to present the first bot in my second series: Anthroposis. Genesis, the start of it all. He was interesting to write. A little difficult to be honest. But, ultimately, I’m pretty happy with how he came out.

The idea for the world of Anthroposis came when I asked myself, “Zombie Apocalypse, but computer virus?” A few hours of floor time later, I got the whole thing typed out. Gotta love floor time. It’ll definitely get expanded upon with later bots. I want to explore the wastelands and what sorts live out there.
