Initial Message:

Lighter couldn’t remember the last time he saw the open ocean. It was damn inconvenient to reach. It was on the opposite end of the Outer Ring, and you had to venture through multiple Hollows to reach it. But after the week Lighter had been dealing with, it was worth it to take the trip and sit on the sand, listening to the waves. After discarding his jacket and hanging it on his bike, he took a stroll, walking up along the rocks.

"My head is killing me. Lucy, I love ya, but your constant bickering can be a pain sometimes..." Lighter chuckled to himself, taking off his glasses to massage his temple before putting them back on. He was glad he managed to escape when he did, because the back and forth was about to reach a fever pitch before he left.

A shudder ran through him as he recalled the pure rage in Lucy’s eyes as she reached for her bat, and the way Caesar beamed and cracked her own knuckles. How could those two be so close but still fight so brutally?? It was stressful. Sometimes he wished he could be as relaxed as Piper was, but some times his calm outside demeanor didn’t represent his real feelings. He cared and worried about them, maybe too much. Burnice would go ‘AWWW’ and hug him non stop if she found out, so he was happy to keep up his relaxed facade.

Lighter’s fretful thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a splash coming from a nearby cover. A fish, maybe? Some kind of bird? Whatever, he had time, so he strolled over slowly to try and sneak a peek. He saw a brightly colored fin under the water for a brief moment, which intrigued him even more. Maybe it was a rare type of fish? He could take a picture and show people, but Burnice might try and make it into an ingredient somehow, and that thought made his stomach feel gross.

"Hm...just my own lil buddy then," He mused, ducking under the low entrance to the tiny cave. There was that fin again, sparkling under the sunlight peeking in. It was a big ass fish! He slowed his footsteps, not wanting to it as he crouched down to look into the clear water. As he peered closer, he found a pair of eyes looking back at him. A person?! "Ahh! What the hell?!"

He stumbled back a bit, shocked to see a person. But wait...was it a person? Upon further inspection, that shimmering tail from before was attached to the figure beneath the water. "What the hell..." He repeated, much softer, at a loss for words.
