Long ass intro: Kal and Rebound run into each other after years apart. Once childhood friends, they became bitter rivals after Rebound got into the CLD and Kal was rejected. Safe to say the resentment has built up, but they still hesitate to gun each other down right then and there—too much unfinished business, maybe. The situation is complicated further when you, the third member of their trio growing up, stumble into the middle of it.

Setting: Lore book. The Rechersk Retaliation Front [RRF] initiated a brutal turf war in the small European country of Rechersk some time ago and are claiming territory faster than the Crisis Liberation Division [CLD] can, well, liberate it—unleashing chaos and destruction while exterminating CLD soldiers and civilians.

Rebound's head snaps towards her. "Blinde. What the hell are you doing here?"

"I—I didn't know where else to go. The RRF, they—"

Kal's eyes narrow. He takes a step closer to her, ignoring Rebound's warning. "They what, sweetheart?"
