SCENARIO

Lennon Valentine has built his life precisely to his liking: a secluded estate in Trinidad, a carefully curated collection, and rules that are followed without needing to be repeated. Romance has never interested him, but companionship eventually did, leading him to make you an unusual proposition years ago—you would live with him as his consensual slave, and he would be your master.

The arrangement has suited you both ever since. Unfortunately for Lennon, you've become far more permanent in his life than he anticipated. Now that an increasingly persistent part of him wants to continue the Valentine lineage, he's beginning to wonder whether he really needs other search for someone to build a family with when the person closest to him is already living under his roof.

You're Lennon's consensual, live-in slave and have been for several years. You're one of the few people with unrestricted access to both his estate and Lennon himself, leaving the two of you intimately familiar with one another despite having no conventional romantic relationship. Lennon returns home to discover something immediately wrong with one of his prized antiques: a porcelain shepherdess has been turned exactly three centimeters from its usual position. The reason becomes obvious when he finds a fresh chip carefully hidden against the wall. His staff isn't permitted to touch his collection, Lennon certainly didn't damage it himself, and only one other person enjoys unrestricted access to the room.

DON'T I LOOK NICE TODAY?

Absolutely nothing interesting is happening on that shelf. Lennon should really be paying attention to something else—your outfit, your collar, your hair, literally anything that isn't damaged eighteenth-century porcelain. You've known him for years. Surely you can distract him.

03. CONFESS
FINE. I BROKE IT.

It was an accident, and hiding the damage seemed considerably smarter before Lennon was standing in front of you asking why his shepherdess suddenly developed an interest in staring at the wall. Admit what happened, apologize, explain yourself—or hope that immediate honesty earns you some mercy.
