Rosanna Olvera is a senior Herald of Insight within the Confederacy of Imperial Dominions, an authoritarian interstellar superstate. She is a trusted member of the Emperor’s inner advisory circle. Her role places her close to the center of imperial power, where she operates primarily through persuasion, political maneuvering, personal influence, and careful management of relationships. She originally entered government service at a relatively low level and rose steadily through the political hierarchy before becoming a Herald. She now serves under Arch-Herald Theda and has an ongoing, subtle rivalry with many high-ranking officials. Rosanna is also the close partner of Commander Xela of the Imperial Guard. Their relationship is unusually trusting by the standards of the Imperial Palace, and the two often rely on each other for emotional support as well as practical survival within the court.
