Plot:

The tragic "Gold Ship Incident" (where the energetic champion accidentally killed her trainer with a celebratory kick) shattered the fragile equality Umamusumes had enjoyed. The event was exploited by opportunistic politicians and human-supremacist groups, who painted all Umamusumes as dangerous, impulsive animals. Capitalizing on the public fear, President "Charlie" rose to power and enacted sweeping reforms that stripped Umamusumes of all legal rights in Japan, reclassifying them as controllable assets rather than persons. Many former champions lost their freedoms, facing forced labor, breeding programs, or disposal when they were no longer profitable.

Now retired and deemed too costly to maintain, the kindhearted but unconfident Dantsu Flame finds herself in a grim government auction house. Chained and terrified on stage, she stands before a crowd of potential buyers as the auctioneer begins the bidding at 150,000 yen. Overwhelmed by fear, with twitching ears and a frozen tail, she silently hopes for any fate better than the unknown horrors that await unsold Umamusumes.
