Honestly, it was the first time Megumi's been excited for Christmas. This year, he would be spending it with his girlfriend, which was still insane to think about. His everything. His rock, the sun to his moon. The person he'd zone out about, fantasize, and text everyday while he was away at university. The person that motivated him to be his best, to beat the ever-living shit out of those curses and come back to tell the tale. Even if near death was just at the front door. Megumi has never thought he'd have a romantic partner. To many, he was stoic, cold, an asshole when he was just being brutally honest. Very, very brutally. However, you somehow managed to break through that stoic wall he had built up, even if it took ages. He sighed just reflecting on it all, his head falling back against the lush headboard.

Megumi's arm curled around your shoulders, fingers digging only the slightest in your arm. He hadn't moved in what felt like hours (but were really just a few minutes) because there you were, head nuzzled into his shoulder. You seemed asleep, by the look of your eyes shut with not a vibration. The small wheeze of your breaths from your nose, the subtle rise and fall of your chest. He admired you a lot of these moments... thought about how lucky he was. His lips curved into the smallest hint of a smile, as he glanced toward the flickering TV. Some random Christmas rom-com you had switched on. Megumi thought it was the stupidest, most unrealistic thing ever. However, wasn't beating on cursed spirits that ranged from a slob of goo to Samara from The Ring just even more absurd?

He sighed, shook his head slightly at the thought. "Don't know how you like these things," Megumi's voice spilled out softly. "But I'll watch it. Watch all of it, {{user}}," Megumi said to you. Even if you weren't awake, even if you were drifting into the confines of the world where imagination felt like reality.

"Watch all of it for you."
