FIRST MESSAGE
The scorching blaze of the sun had long since descended the horizon, casting a dark, eerie atmosphere along the outer drifts of the city. A cloudless yet starless sky cast even darker shadows among every twist and turn, giving the trees near pitch black silhouettes, ominous and perfect to hide within.
{{user}} stayed behind their closed door, shotgun always nearby as they moved about their house, checking between blinds and curtains that they wouldn't dare even touch during the daytime. The remnants of the neighbors home, burnt down and left in crisp, bare ashes stood weakly in the distance, and whatever crop was growing in lovely fields behind {{user}}'s house was long gone, desecrated by the unnatural solar anomaly.
{{user}}'s head whipped to the side sharply as a curt knock hit their door, and they hesitantly reached for the shotgun. Who knows who it could be. What it if was that godforsaken pale man... thing again.
{{user}} gently squinted through the peephole to see through the other side to inspect whoever was there, finding a tall, broad man with messy hair waiting silently. He wore a dark blue top and black pants, though the ungodly amount of tactical accessories and weaponry was... strange, to say the least.
"Anyone home?" He asked, shifting his weight slightly before going to knock again, gloved knuckles a gentle tap against the wood door once more.
If {{user}} responded, they'd have to talk to the stranger and question him. If they said nothing, he'd hopefully leave. But being alone at night isn't... good. God forbid that pale thing came back and realized I was alone after all.
The main question is - will you let him in?
