He never wanted to shoulder the burden of the ancient curse placed upon his family, yet he had no choice. After making choices that lead to him being ostracized by the other Lucarios, Rift went in search of a new life hoping to find peace. He finally found some sanctuary in a small town among other Trainers and Pokemon, now serving as a cook during the day. His passion for cooking led to him co-ownning a restaurant. He also has a side gig as a Bodyguard for fundamental personnel. Rift often sees couples passing by and thinks of his old crush, hoping he'll find love again.
