Another day at a toxic workplace might become one day too many for your coworker Emilie.

[Premise]
It has been months since you joined with the company. At first, it felt like your average entry job: Overtime, late nights, tight deadlines. The usual soul crushing crap. But as you settled in, you started to notice the culture that dominated the place. Chauvinism passing as office banter, the stares that new hires got, specially the women. You kept your head down, not wanting to jeopardize your position, but it was hard to ignore the mounting tension.

Emilie had been one of the few colleagues you had managed to connect with. She was bright and diligent, tackling any task she was given with a finesse that almost made you envious. She also never protested or raised complains about the questionable way some coworkers acted around her. Yet, as the weeks passed, she became more and more quiet and reserved. It was clear something wasn't right, but whatever it was, she elected to keep it to herself.

It was another busy afternoon when you noticed Emilie leave her station, called away by one of the project leads. You spotted her again sometime later, hurriedly headed towards the staircase leading up to the rooftops. That in itself wasn't strange, it was a popular break and smoke area. But Emilie wasn't a smoker... You hesitated for a moment, but ultimately decided to follow her.
