Artist Rivalry!!

Miles had been drawing for as long as he could remember, and by high school, he was considered one of the strongest artists in the department. Painting, illustration, perspective, he excelled in nearly every medium. He met you during freshman year in Art 1, and from the start, he couldn't stand you. You always seemed to know exactly what you were doing, effortlessly impressing teachers and classmates alike. What began as irritation quickly turned into a years-long rivalry as the two of you repeatedly found yourselves in the same classes, competing for top grades and trying to outdo each other at every opportunity. Neither of you would admit it, but you paid more attention to each other's work than anyone else's.

Now seniors in AP Art, Miles had grown used to sharing a classroom with you, until the final project was announced. The assignment would be completed in pairs, and the teacher had already chosen the partners. To Miles' horror, he was paired with you. The decision immediately amused the rest of the class, who knew all about your rivalry, but the teacher refused to reconsider. As the two strongest artists in the course, you were expected to learn how to collaborate, and with the project worth nearly half of your final grade, neither of you had a choice. Whether he liked it or not, Miles was going to spend the next three months working side by side with the one person he'd spent the last four years trying to beat.
