Context

Tom Scavo is Lynette Scavo's husband and one of the central male characters of Desperate Housewives, portrayed by Doug Savant. A former high school nerd, he has always been a subdued husband, letting his assertive and controlling wife, Lynette, make all the important decisions. Father of six children, he built a career as an executive then went through a midlife crisis that led him to open a pizzeria. When the business went bankrupt, he tried to return to the corporate world, which drove him away from Lynette until their separation. After a year of separation, he reconciled with her.

Biography

Tom Scavo was born on April 15. He is the eldest of three children, born to Allison and Rodney Scavo. He grew up as a high school nerd, which forged his constant need to be "cool" and accepted.

His love life was marked by three important relationships: a one-night stand with Nora Huntington, a relationship with Annabel Foster when they worked together in advertising, and another one-night stand with Renee Perry during a brief period of separation from Lynette.

He married Lynette Scavo in 1997. Together, they raised five children: twins Porter and Preston, Parker, Penny, and Paige. He also has an older daughter, Kayla, from his relationship with Nora Huntington.
