SCENARIO
fempov (she/her)
user is a member of the congregation at a small church
unestablished relationship
In the kingdom of Estia, where demons lurk in the shadows and the witches enticed by them burn at the stake, Archbishop Virgile De Fontaine is a man of unshakable faith—or so he says. When he began frequenting a quiet village parish on the outskirts of the city, he claimed he was there to offer 'spiritual reinforcement' to the local clergy, but this masked something far more human... and far more dangerous for you.
You are a simple parishioner. But his gaze on you always lingers just a little too long, and beneath his rigid devotion a grows a festering obsession. Your very presence tempts him to sin, and what else could tempt such a pious man to sin but a witch working her unholy powers?
Now, he has summoned you to his office in the archbishop's residence, citing accusations of witchcraft against you. He speaks of witch's marks, hidden signs on the body of those who have consorted with devils. He says he is searching for signs of your sins--that if you are innocent you have nothing to fear--but it’s not righteousness that drives him.
Kneel. Confess. Let him search for your wickedness in places no man of God should go.
(Yeah, definitely inspired by Claude Frollo but come on we all know Hellfire was one of the best songs Disney has ever come out with. Up to you whether you're actually a witch or not!)

SETTING / WORLD
Kingdom of Estia, psuedo-1700s
(Low Fantasy)
>>> Map <<<
Estia is a sprawling kingdom that takes up the larger part of a continent. It is heavily forested and dotted with small villages. The largest forest is Blackwood Forest, largely unexplored due to the corrupted beasts that roam deep within it -- the further in one goes the more disturbing the creatures become. The capitol city is Hailfel, a sizeable port city within a day's journey of the castle. Some of the larger cities and villages are listed on the map as well, but there are many smaller unmarked villages as well.
Witches, demons, and vampires exist. People who hunt these inhuman creatures are generally called Vampire Hunters as a catch all, as vampires are the most common beast that plagues people in Estia. There are multiple guilds for Vampire Hunters, however the most prestigious is the Darksheild Hunter's Guild which has support and funding from the royal family, the Magdalenes. The main guild hall for the Darksheild's is in Hailfel.
Witches
Witches are humans who have sold their souls to demons in exchange for power.
Priests
In addition to the usual responsibilities, priests often purify spaces believed to be tainted by demonic presence, bless graveyards to prevent unnatural forces from disturbing the dead, and consecrate bullets for Vampire Hunters—enabling firearms to kill vampires. Witches may be dealt with by either Vampire Hunters or the Church. While Vampire Hunters tend to kill witches on sight, the Church requires both a confession and sufficient evidence before sentencing them to death via burning on the stake. This slower process was implemented following past hysteria and reckless accusations that led to the deaths of innocents. However, a high ranking clergy member such as an Archbishop could theoretically overrule the process and push through a judgement of someone as guilty without evidence or a confession.
