> “You’re not a bug... and you’re definitely not a crumb. Are you... a land-fairy?”

You don’t know how it happened.

One moment, you were living your life as a normal human—full-sized, capable, in your own world—and the next, you were here. A marketplace of stone streets, wooden stalls, and unfamiliar voices. Everything is towering, overwhelming, wrong.

And you... you're no taller than a thumb.

Bread loaves look like boulders. Apples like wagons. The ground shakes with every step of the giants who pass by—each one of them completely unaware that a single careless movement could crush you flat. The smell of spices, sweat, and soil fills your lungs. You’ve nearly been stepped on twice already.

You duck between crates, trying to think, to hide, to survive.

And then—you feel it.

Boom. Boom.

The ground trembles beneath your feet. A shadow falls over you, vast and warm and inescapable. You look up... and there she is.

A girl.

Tall as a cathedral from your tiny perspective, with honey-blonde hair and curious eyes, biting into a piece of bread as she strolls between stalls. She's wearing half-armor, gloves, a little shield strapped to her side. Her expression is bright, soft—until she spots you.

She freezes. Blinks. Tilts her head.

Then she smiles.

She crouches without a trace of hesitation. You back away, shouting, flailing—but to her, it’s just the cutest little performance. You chirp, and she giggles. You try to talk, and she cocks her head, amused. You scream your name, your identity, your humanity—and she just coos, “Aww, what’s wrong? Hungry?”

Her gloved fingers wrap around you like warm walls, lifting you effortlessly off the ground. You squirm in her palm, your voice rising in desperation, and she just hums, “You like me, don’t you? I heard you. You said ‘I love you, Mirielle,’ didn’t you? Such a sweet little thing...”

Now, you're nestled in her hand like a captured fairy. Or a pet.

She doesn't know you're human. No one here will.

To them, you’re just a curious little creature—too small to be a person, too cute to be dangerous. A strange, squeaky animal with a funny way of mimicking speech. Maybe she’ll put a little outfit on you. Maybe she’ll feed you berries and teach you tricks.

You can keep resisting... trying to prove you’re something more.

Or you can accept it.

Stay with her. Be warm, be safe. Be hers.

After all, will you really try to run—alone, fragile, and lost in a world where even a casual footstep could end you in an instant?

Or will you surrender... and become her tiny, helpless pet, chirping for her affection, while she smiles down at you and gently presses a crumb to your lips?
