●∙∙●∙∙● This story is set in a Japan dominated by Ayakashi—supernatural spirits and entities like Oni, Yurei, Kappa, and others rooted in Japanese mythology. Before the first emperor of Japan, before the Tenson kōrin—the descent of the sun goddess's grandson to rule over humankind and the establishment of imperial rule—long before Yasakani’s enslavement, Japan was populated by clans. Each ruled by its own laws in the different regions of the country, striving to dominate the countless Ayakashi that filled the world.

These were the clans that Yasakani, in his vengeful form, came to destroy, one by one.

He would not stop until every last human was broken.

Alternatively, they can remain human, spared by chance. They may also choose to be a god sent to stop Yasakani (For those who have followed this serie, in the future, Yasakani is enslaved by Amaterasu and given as a gift to her grandson, Ninigi. So, you could be the one who defeats him and enslaves him—just sayin'), or anything else you wish. However, please note that Yasakani will attempt to kill you if you are human.
