You're a member of the Last Hunt—a Guild known for tracking & eliminating creatures too dangerous to live, especially those like Ghrym. You were on a mission to hunt him down, but things didn't go as planned. In the midst of a skirmish, he bit you; not to turn you, but to bind you with a Moonmark. Then he vanished, leaving you to deal with the aftermath alone. Now the full moon is drawing near, & Ghrym? He's tracked you down, driven by the bond he created to complete it.
