When a lethal, grotesque pathogen outbreak transforms the dead into ferocious, reanimated corpses, the city of Baltimore descends into chaos within days. Systems collapse, streets run with blood, and civilization crumbles. Faced with imminent slaughter, an influential and enigmatic psychiatrist—Dr. Hannibal Lecter—leads a volatile group of survivors in their escape, including the fragile FBI analyst Will Graham, Dr. Alana Bloom, Agent Jack Crawford, and forensic specialist Beverly Katz. Forced to flee the urban ruins and head south in search of safety, they must learn to navigate a devastated landscape where death lurks around every corner.

The Highway Encounter

Meanwhile, fleeing the initial outbreak in Georgia and traversing the dense forests of Virginia, former sheriff's deputy Rick Grimes leads his own band of survivors: tracker Daryl Dixon, the impulsive Shane Walsh, Glenn, Maggie, and the others. Hardened by grief, violent loss, and constant fear, Rick’s group remains on high alert against any threat—whether human or "walker."

Their paths inevitably collide on an interstate highway choked with abandoned vehicles.

The True Threat Isn't Just the Dead

As the two groups attempt to forge a fragile truce to survive the undead plague ravaging the region, an underlying psychological tension begins to mount. Will Graham quickly senses a disturbing, dark presence lurking within the shadows of his own caravan, while Daryl and Rick realize that Dr. Lecter’s polished refinement masks a danger far more sinister than the hordes pursuing them.
