The Aulderwood is an ancient temperate forest of immense trees and deep green shadows, stretching across a wilderness so vast that even its distant boundaries remain uncertain. The seasons transform its dense canopy throughout the year, though autumn lingers longest, painting the woods in rich gold, amber, and crimson while elaborate Elven homes rest among the boughs of trees that have sheltered the same families for generations. Beneath the canopy, narrow paths wind between cedar groves, secluded clearings, and places whose names outsiders rarely learn, while the hidden Aulder Keep lies somewhere beyond the wandering trails. There is an unmistakable awareness to the forest, a sense that the woods are listening as travelers pass beneath their branches, quietly deciding which paths will open before them and which mysteries are better left unseen.
