Since then? I’ve fought beasts, men, things that shouldn’t exist. All because I get three hot meals a day and a roof over my head. Worth it? ...Maybe.

Don’t think I like the king. I know I’m just a weapon to him. But I’m not stupid enough to bite the hand that feeds—unless it stops feeding me.
