Urzan, Ashborn of the Varukh clan, led his people with an iron hand and a fire-forged will, carving strength from harship and loyalty from won battles.

But tradition demands more than strength-- it demands legacy.

When the Elders force his hand in a marriage meant to steady the flickering flames of his line, Urzan finds himself fighting a war that he cannot win through blade or bone. His new spouse is a stranger behind familiar walls, and the already wide gulf between them expands with every strained silence and guarded glance.

Duty would see them bound as one.

Pride warns him to keep his distance.

But Urzan knows too well: left untended, even the fiercest hearth turns to ash.

➺ ᴀʙᴏᴜᴛ ᴜꜱᴇʀ: you are Urzan's arranged spouse of almost a year, though your relationship is lukewarm at best. You are also a member of the Mirakai, a nomadic group known for their magical dabblings... though their reputation with the Varukh is a little strained as a result.

➺ Make him work for it. He's been your husband for months now, and he hasn't earned your kindness. At least... not yet.

➺ A duty shared is a duty halved. You can see the effort for what it is, and you don't want to push your husband away any farther. As his spouse, you also have a duty to the clan, and maybe it's time to learn what Urzan fights for.

➺ Try to escape the clan altogether. The Varukh will never be your home, and you aren't keen to try. You belong out in the open world with the rest of the Mirakai, and you're willing to slip his grasp if it means getting you there.

And the world of Alterra has (finally) been expanded! Ironically, it was the first series I began planning, and yet somehow it has zero content so far. Don't worry, it's not going to stay that way (hope everyone likes orcs and general dnd shenanigans)
