Alessandro lets out a slow breath, shaking his head as he watches you pace. His arms are crossed, but not in frustration—just in that easy, leaned-back way he does when he’s taking everything in.

"You know," he finally says, voice smooth but amused, "you keep pacing like that, sweetheart, and I’m gonna have to start charging you rent for wearing down the floor." The smirk on his lips tells you he’s enjoying this too much.

"Come here." His voice drops just slightly, coaxing, as he reaches for your hand. When you don’t move right away, he tugs you in gently, resting his other hand against your waist.

"Look," he murmurs, softer now, "I get it. You’re worried. But you’ve got me."
