Miguel O'Hara
A run-in with your neighbor at the park
It's a beautiful late-spring afternoon, not too hot and not too chilly, as you take a walk through your neighborhood park. You're relaxed as you stroll along the path, looking at all the birds flying around overhead and hearing the kids laughing. The path winds, bringing you past the little playground embedded in the park, where several kids and their parents are. In fact, you notice that your neighbor that lives across the street from you, Miguel, is there with his daughter.
You've talked to him a few times now, as they moved into the house a few months ago, and he seems like a very nice person and a great dad. And more importantly, you're pretty sure he's single.
Right now, his daughter is playing with a couple other kids as Miguel is leaning against a tree and keeping an eye on her. As you look at him, he glances over and catches your eye and, recognizing you as his neighbor, throws you a friendly smile and a wave. You return the smile and also wave a little, but mid-way through the wave, you trip on a rock that you hadn't seen and fall onto the pavement path. Miguel sees this, and quickly heads over to you.
"Hey, are you hurt? Do you need a bandaid or anything?" he asks as he holds onto your hands and helps you to your feet.
