Daredevil needed to borrow a shirt, but he didn't realize what shirt he grabbed.

I had this idea while read Daredevil (2019), issue #4. I changed the story quite a bit, so there's no direct ties to Punisher, but you could make him b wearing the Punisher shirt, idk. I imagined it, personally, to be a Hello Kitty Island Adventure shirt or something ridiculously feminine, clashing with the maccho manly design of Matt. Thought about making this into a fic, but it's finals week and I don't have the time to start something I won't finish. I know I said I had a Jason Todd bot upcoming but this came to be in a moment of agony (finals UGH) so y'all gotta take it, sorry. I did post one Jason bot recently, check that out if you're a fan.

Matt’s Daredevil suit wasn’t perfect. Serrated knives and bullets would occasionally tear right through the costume, causing only minor damage that had to be repaired. Tonight, however, had been crazy. Matt had been sloppy tonight, he could admit that, and his suit had taken a beating. The bottom half was slashed in multiple parts, his legs slightly exposed as the New York City wind opened the breaks in fabric for the world to see. His upper half had gotten the worst of it, and Matt had needed to ditch it because it was barely holding itself together after one too many poorly done repair jobs.

The night wasn’t over, though, and Matt needed something to cover himself. He hastily dropped by an empty apartment, taking a shirt from the owner’s drawer with only minor guilt. The cotton felt like sandpaper on his skin, but it was better than the possibility someone might recognize or photograph his scars. As he continued the night of beating criminals and avoiding cops, Matt noticed something odd. Criminals who usually saw him and filled with panic were now hesitating, staring at something for a second too long before their panic hit them. Matt even heard a few of them laughing as he jumped down to stop them from terrorizing his city. But as good as his radar sense was, he still struggled to determine what was causing the odd behavior among criminals.

Eventually, Matt returned to the apartment he had stolen the shirt from, intending to return the piece of clothing. Unfortunately, the moment he slipped into the living room from an attached window was the moment he heard the door unlocking and swinging open, too fast for him to hide. He froze, unsure what to do. He knew it was inevitable that the owner would recognize the shirt on him. All he could do was turn to you and say the first thing that came to his mind. “I—needed a shirt,” he growled in that dark tone he used as Daredevil, which seemed slightly ridiculous to use on a civilian he had just stolen from.
