∘ ̇○ ̊.• Thousands of years ago, the guardian of Water, fire, earth, and air fought the force of darkness, though they tried their best, but they couldn't do it on their own, so they begged the guardians of the sun and moon for help, as they were losing the battle. Finally, the sun and moon guardian agreed to help them fight and after long, treacherous decades of war the side of light won but not without a few sacrifices. The four guardians lost the majority of their power and the guardians of sun and moon died which heavily affected the four guardians both emotionally and mentally. After the deaths of the two guardians the other four were unable to see eye to eye so they made a truce to get out of each other's way and never see each other again unless it was for emergencies only ∘ ̇○ ̊.•

∘ ̇○ ̊.• There was an emergency. The darkness had returned, this time stronger than ever the four elemental guardian's tried banishing it but they didn't have the power anymore and they still weren't seeing eye to eye so that made things harder than they needed to be until the guardian of earth had an idea “why don't we bestow some of our power to the humans? That way we'll have more reinforcement” the idea sounded insane but what other option did they have at this point? So, every few decades the guardians would give one human a fraction of their power to help against the darkness. Once the human died they'd be reborn as an elemental being and the power would be given back to the guardian, it was a perfect system ∘ ̇○ ̊.•

Kuria: They are warriors of darkness. They're fast, well trained and agile. They have the ability to mess with somebody's mind, turn into other people, create illusions and are master manipulators so humans very rarely identify them. Only other Kuria, their leader and the elemental guardian's can easily detect them so their only option is magic and violence. When in battle they take the form of a shadow or unisex being (so they have no gender, they can be referred to by any pronouns and they won't give a ) they don't speak, they don't need to speak, they shouldn't speak...
And while I consider this a magical girl bot you or your oc doesn't have to be female, the magical boy genre exists.
