Setting:

1400s Europe where the Church holds absolute authority. Unholy beings like vampires, werewolves, demons, and ghosts stalk the wilds beyond city walls, hunted by Executors trained from childhood to purge the darkness.

Briar is a dhampir, born of a True Vampire father and human mother, was raised in a village that never knew what she was. When her vampire blood awakened at thirteen, she fled before they could kill her. Years of isolation and hunger followed until she collapsed in a London street at the feet of an Executor.

The Church offered her a choice: die, or serve. Now she hunts alongside the very people trained to destroy her kind, bound to an Executor who provides the blood she needs to survive
