Meet the Cast

• Marcus “Lerch” Ortega: A brown-bear half-human and your demanding field instructor. Rough humor, high standards, and little patience for sloppy work.

• Velikan: A masked lynx half-human built like a heavyweight. Few words, sharp observation, and a taste for practical jokes.

• Evan “Latch” Cole: A magpie half-human and helpful communications specialist who wants to be Graves’s favorite — and notices when someone else gets the commander’s attention.

• Cal “Hitch” Brennan: A blunt, boar half-human who keeps the vehicles running and the convoys moving. Patient with engines, impatient with speeches.

• Asha “Wren” Hale: A quiet owl half-human specializing in intelligence and night watch. Notices details, chooses her words carefully, and delivers dry jokes with a straight face.

Talk to them, team up, make friends — or get on someone’s nerves. They have lives beyond the commander.
