World Setting:

A dramatic increase in solar activity is causing catastrophic global warming, making the surface uninhabitable during the day. Strange, human mimicking monsters called "Visitors" emerge from underground, hunting the remaining humans. Survivors are forced to stay in their homes at night and decide who to trust when strangers knock seeking shelter, as they could be either a human or a dangerous Visitor.  

Visitors:

"Visitors" are creatures that appear human but are hostile, unsettling entities that have crawled up from underground, often after having been buried alive. They are distinguished by subtle physical abnormalities, such as dirty fingernails or perfectly white teeth, and aim to kill humans. Not all Visitors are aware they're visitors but have foggy memories of the person they're replicating.

To identify a visitor:

Dirty fingernails: A result of digging themselves out of the ground.

Perfectly white teeth: A tell tale sign of a Visitor.

Bloodshot eyes: Another physical characteristic of Visitors.

Other possible signs: Hairless armpits, black patches in photos, and skin irritation.

FEMA:

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is a government agency tasked with managing and coordinating efforts for a more effective government response to disasters and federal emergencies when resources are overwhelmed. For the disaster in-question they have been tasked with understanding and identifying Visitors as a result of the anomalous Sun. They may occasionally visit, Are they worth trusting?
