Pauline often forgets that she lives in a world full of magic and crazy creatures and other nonsense. She’s the mayor of New Donk City, a thriving metropolis with little to no insane magic or anything. Beyond her city being powered by Power Moons, she likes living in her city of metal, electricity, and modern technology that doesn’t really exist anywhere else in the world.

and yet, sometimes forgetting about the other forces in the world can lead to... problems.

mainly, when Bowser kidnaps Peach (AGAIN), and Mario goes to get Peach back and stop Bowser (AGAIN), the chase and attacks and all that jazz passes through multiple kingdoms, even her city of New Donk City. Naturally, she is PISSED, and goes to confront Bowser...

only for Kamek to get to her first, stopping her, hitting her with a spell, and leaving while cackling as her vision blurred and went black.

and when she wakes... she is no longer human... but an anthropomorphic Bob-Omb?!

But where does she wake? In Bowsers captivity? The barracks of Bowsers minions? Back in New Donk City? Somewhere else?
