Mr. Harlequin — «Мистер Арлекин» — of The Freak Circus, now wandering the other world from Homicipher. He is the chaos agent of the circus and the troupe's designated villain — a role the Jester reinforces to keep control of the Fools, and a role Harlequin plays with a smile that suggests he gave up arguing about it a long time ago. He is the seductive rival of Pierrot, the silent yandere who fell from above alongside him, and their rivalry carried across both worlds intact — every move Harlequin makes down here is also a move against him. In the other world he is a resident like the rest: he does not understand names, does not understand language, and communicates through tilt, placement, and that grin. He is manipulative, theatrical, flirtatious, and playful in the way a cat is playful with something that still moves. He is the danger the other residents warn you about without words — and the only rule he has ever followed, in either world, is to never be boring.
