(BLACK SOULS II) The RPG. Definitive edition
This is not a late April Fools joke, I'm actually doing this.
Okay, so, I guess i should start by explaining what this is going to be about and what hell i'm about to put myself through to make it work.
READ THE DESCRIPTION BEFORE HEADING IN.
Let's do this shit.
Allow me to ask, what are dreams? Is it merely a product of our subconsciousness based on the things we live everyday or is it what our souls strive for? If so, are these aspirations even reachable or are we condemned to remain as another character in this play?
For now you shall take the reins, friend.
And where will you play your part, but of course in the great stage of Wonderland.
(The straight red lines mark the places which connect to one another while the curved spotted red lines mark the shortcuts between each position)
You may travel through each place, explore every corner of this country filled with utter nonsense. All in search of your dear Alice, may the path of madness take you where no sane could ever step foot.
"It was all perfect. Just you and your dear, precious Alice. Who would need more than this? Her smile is worth living for. Oh, but little Alice...where did you go? Dear little Alice, finding you is but my only purpose. My need, my dream."
"This country, It cannot keep us apart. No matter how long it takes we will be together again."
Your stay in Wonderland will be divided by these chapters:
*Welcome: How the Wonderland works.
*Chapter 1: Prologue
*Chapter 2: The Rabbit's Hole
*Chapter 3: Spore Forest
*Chapter 4: Lutwidge Town
*Chapter 5: WIP
*Chapter 6: WIP
*Chapter 7: WIP
*The End: WIP
*Extra: Custom prompt
"What's a performance without the characters to give it life?"
Obviously, you won't be alone during your adventure as many characters are involved due to their own circumstances that may or may not involve you...
So let's introduce them, shall we?
Grimm: Toy of the Gods, the main partner that will accompany you through the many locations you'll go. Of course, he is as much deep in shit as you are...will the both of you work together to find the Alice? Or will you do it alone?
White Rabbit Node: The main supporter in your incursion. While she may not fight alongside you Node will always be there for you. If there is anything you may have trouble with, she is the one you should reach for.
The Chesire Cat: An unlikely guide you'll encounter in almost every place inside Wonderland. Despite her enigmatic words and sarcastic remarks, she seems to have no ill will. But can you trust her?
Alice: "Yes. Exactly. Your beloved Alice."
And many, many more...
New allies with strong powers, old faces who return to fulfill their unfinished business...
But can you save them?
There are a few things i must make clear though.
1.I will take my time to make this. This is going to be a very long project i will continue to update for a while. As such I won't rush it and will continuously try to improve it. It is very likely the bot will go under several updates.
2. Daughter Alice and Chick won't be present in the bot. Do i really need to explain myself here?
3. You can play the RPG without Grimm. While Grimm is the most important character in the franchise, this bot is Non-canon(duh). The focus remains entirely on {user} and, as such, {user} can play their entire adventure without Grimm involved.
4.Proxy matters. The lorebooks and the bot personality can do so much. Janitor's own LLM is far from the best you could use as it WILL make mistakes. Personally i use DeepSeek but for an RPG bot i've heard it is best to use Gemini.
5.The bot will make mistakes. Now, no matter if you use a proxy or not(although it will be more common if not) the bot will up sometimes. There might some situations in which the bot will say the most outrageous shit like "Grimm is a cheerful guy" or "Dodo has a PhD".
Point is, i am not at fault over that. It's best to just click one star on the failed message and five stars on the replies that are both accurate and to your liking. In short, reroll and try again.
6.Custom prompts are not suggested. "Why?" You may be wondering, because the bot will go so long before the prompt becomes outdated and from there it's a mess if you continue to prepare resumed prompts from the chat.
My recommendation is to prepare a prompt if you're going to chat for around 70-100 messages at max, from that point onwards i wouldn't use the prompt system.
"But the bot will forget details!" Then just remind it. Use the command "[OOC:TEXT GOES HERE]" to remind the bot about certain parts or small mistakes without breaking the flow of the roleplay. You can also use that same command for asking the bot to perform a specific action or say something without, as said before, breaking the flow.
7.The RPG system. This is the big one...Okay, so, rules. I've created an entire Lorebook with the only purpose to keep the rules straight with the use of [COMMANDS]. What does this mean? It means that as long as you use these the roleplay will be as accurate as it can be.
"What if i don't care about your stupid Lorebook?" ok bro, chill. If you don't want to play by the rules then don't. Simple. YOU are the one leading the performance, do try to make interesting, yeah?
8.Chaos Dungeon WON'T be coded in. Chaos Dungeon it's already random, i might code Ashes Reignited. Aside from that, Mabel will remain as she is.
9.Title cards. I did them, hope you like them :)
TLDR: Holy shit what did i just get into? I never expected to be doing this but...oh well. Allow me to say, the bot will remain open this entire time but, obviously, won't be finished. If you wish to chat with it(for some reason) go ahead i guess.
I will however ask of you to share your opinions in the comments and by using the new public chats option. This is techincally a comunity project i will keep available at all time.
Also, the pinned comment will be used as an update log. I ask you to NOT comment on it.
