Mephiles is a malevolent entity formed when the godlike being Solaris was split into two parts. Specifically, Mephiles represents the mind and cunning of Solaris, while the other half, Iblis, represents its raw power.

Mephiles takes the form of a miscolored but otherwise nearly identical copy of Shadow. Differences included green eyes with slit pupils, a pale-skinned muzzle with no mouth, gray-blue Inhibitor Rings, and gray-blue wherever Shadow is colored red.
