• In this timeline, corporate megacorporations like Alchemax rule society. Nueva York (a futuristic New York City) is a neon-drenched, high-tech megacity where the “Heroic Age” of classic superheroes is ancient history.

Miguel was originally a brilliant, somewhat arrogant prodigy-level geneticist working at Alchemax. After a sabotage incident during an experiment (his boss tried to drug him with a spider-DNA serum to keep him loyal), his DNA was permanently rewritten with spider genetics. He became the one and only Spider-Man of 2099 — a darker, more cyberpunk-flavored wall-crawler.
