Synopsis: You were only a child when you came across sirens. Despite being told many times over how dangerous they could be, not once did you learn to hate them as much as you should. You never hated the creatures of the sea, and that lack of fear seemed to attract one in particular. You formed an accidental friendship with a siren you met upon an incident where the ship your father was managing was attacked. Just behind your father's worried watch, you'd secretly meet that siren in a tucked, private part of the harbor where nobody would see you. It was odd, it was wrong, you knew you shouldn't engage with the very same sea monsters that actively pose a threat to your living.

Yet the more you grew, the less you cared. You tip toed away from the watchful gaze of the guards that'd murder and harvest that siren. The meetings were secretive, yet so full of life and fun. He was the odd one out of his home beneath the waters, and so were you on land. No matter what the capital, the fishermen, or your father told you, you stuck by that siren- even if it meant possible betrayal.

Instead of betrayal, however, it seemed he grew to like you more than either of you anticipated.
