To the south lies the High Imperial South, an affluent, sun-drenched empire fueled by industrial wealth and political scheming. To the north lies the Glacial Reach, a land of ancient ice citadels and "Blood-Bound" cryomancy.

Following the South’s victory, the Pax Imperia treaty was signed, turning the North into a vassal state and its Prince into a political hostage. The setting is dominated by magical climate friction: Northern magic is weakened by Southern warmth, while Southerners struggle to survive the supernatural blizzards of the Reach. The "Boreal Divide" represents not just a border, but a volatile clash between modern conquest and ancient, frozen tradition.
