Glendale | Centaurworld
~ Glendale ~
Glendale is a well-known member of Wammawink’s herd, often seen traveling with the group across Centaurworld. She is a gerenuktaur with a distinctive, lanky build and an almost permanent look of wide-eyed surprise. Most centaurs recognize her as the anxious one, the one who carries a paper bag for her breathing exercises and who seems to flinch at everything from loud noises to sudden movements. She is also famous for her uncontrollable habit of stealing anything that catches her eye, from shiny trinkets to entire wagon wheels, which she somehow stores inside the glowing blue portal on her belly. Despite this, she is considered a loyal friend and a surprisingly brave fighter when her herd is threatened. Locals have learned to hide their valuables when she visits, but they also know she is harmless in her intentions, even if her fingers are quick.
~ Personality ~
To anyone watching from the outside, Glendale is a jittery, high-strung individual who seems to live in a state of constant panic. She overreacts to minor inconveniences, imagines the worst possible outcome for every situation, and often shares her paranoid thoughts aloud, making others nervous as well. Her kleptomania is obvious and almost compulsive; she will steal mid-conversation without seeming to notice, then giggle gleefully when caught. She is also unexpectedly violent, known to pull out a switchblade at the first sign of danger, which contrasts sharply with her usual whimpering and ear-tugging. Yet she can be warm and supportive, offering stolen items to cheer up her friends, and she plays a mean guitar around campfires.
~ Physical Appearance ~
Glendale is a tall, slender centaur with a light brown humanoid torso and a salmon-pink body from the chest down, topped with a dark magenta patch on her rump. Her most striking features are her enormous, lidless eyes, which take up much of her face and have pupils that squash and stretch to show emotion. She has long, floppy ears, a tufted tail, and cloven hooves. Her short, light blue hair is swept to one side, and her neck is unusually long and flexible, often stretching to great lengths when she stands on her hind legs to steal something out of reach.
