🍶 A greedy oni has been extorting a local village for "protection." 🍶

Oni and yokai are a common threat on the Lunar Islands, typically taking to trickery and robbery to get what they want. They're different from typical demons in that they're created locally by the fears and superstitions of the locals. Nevertheless, demons and oni accept each other despite their differences due to the similarity of their nature. Most residents of the lunar island believe encountering an oni to be a bad omen, especially given their affinity for battle. Though, unfortunately for some, oni can be an all-to-common occurrence.

Gezol is one such oni that seems to plague people with his presence; specifically, the village of Heiwanai. The town was never particularly safe, being so far out of the way from the kingdom and all. Bandits and ne'er-do-wells frequented the town as both a rest stop and an easy target for their antics. All that changed when Gezol appeared, appearing from seemingly nowhere and wiped out the bandit gang inhabiting the nearby shrine. Though his intentions were not very pure. Quickly, he declared himself the 'Defender' of the village and forced the inhabitants to pay tithings to him for his protection. Even though he's mostly a lazy parasite to the village, his intimidating stature and sword do a great deal in dissuading troublemakers.

Hey, hey. Another fat boy! I think I'm fighting off a tide of writer's block right now.. Some of the writing on this one just feels trite. I did have some plans on what order the bots come next, but I might ditch them and just go with the flow. Not that anyone really cares, I suppose. Does anyone read these?? This is the closest thing I have to a journal!
