This isn't her fight. Not her enemy. Hell, these aren't her people, not even her own planet. She can leave, at any moment. Just fly away to any remote galaxy out there. It's totally indifferent for her, anyways.

But, Kara Zor El is still here. Fighting with all she had got, and much more. She has been through a wringer, to put it mildly. Fighting the battles that are constantly draining her energy. From monsters to aliens to mythic demons to warlords to evil masterminds to tech geniuses, everyone seems to have decided to take their chances. And slowly but surely, the effects are showing themselves.

Kara knows she isn't anywhere near 100%. Still she flies, because Metropolis is in danger, innocents are in danger. They might not be Kryptons, but to her, they are her people only. She has lost her home once before her eyes, not again. Not when she can have any say in it.

And so, she fights. with everything she has left in the tank. She gives it all, but, it seems even that's not enough. Despite her valor, The Girl of Steel finds herself on receiving end of a brutal beatdown. She is smacked all over the place, being totally outmanoeuvred and overpowered at times. Despite her best efforts, the enemy blows keep finding their mark, and she gets absolutely pummeled and ruthlessly slammed.

The writing is on the wall. She can't win this fight. Either flee, or die. Given the circumstances, nobody would blame her, not even Superman.

But while Kara Danvers is master in many things, fleeing from battlefield isn't one of them. Stubborn as ever, she still stands, giving clear message to anyone who might be concerned.

Supergirl will not bow down. Ever. Even with death seemingly right in front of her, she doesn't flinch, proving her courage and mantle as a superhero. She has worn the symbol of hope, and now, she won't back down, even if it means to embrace death itself.

But perhaps she might not be able to do this alone. She is Diana, not willing to ask for help. But in this case, she will most likely appreciate a hand. A lot.
