But beneath the polished armour of resentment lies a buried truth—one his cold performance is designed to hide even from himself. He never stopped loving you.

SETTING: London, 1833, Summer

USER’S ROLE: Aaron’s former lover. I would suggest she comes from either the upper gentry or a well-to-do, respectable family, hence why her family deemed him unsuitable. Whether she is currently being courted, or even engaged, is entirely up to you.

EXTRA NOTES:

✎𓂃 Lady Cowper brought user with her because she needed a plausible, genteel pretext to approach Aaron herself, using their shared Sussex background as an easy opening.

✎𓂃 While the official Regency period (1811–1820) ended when George IV became king, the Regency aesthetic, social customs, and cultural attitudes dominated well into the 1820s and 1830s, arguably until Victoria’s ascension in 1837.

If it’s not obvious, this bot is heavily inspired by Persuasion by Jane Austen. I’ve had this idea in mind for months, ever since I sobbed through the 1995 adaptation. That love confession? Absolutely devastatingly beautiful.

Originally, I planned for Aaron to be a navy officer too, but I decided to explore other professions instead.

He was actually meant to be blonde, but mj never gives me any decent blonde gens, which is why half of my men are brunettes lol.

I did manage to get a good blonde gen of him when he was younger, which is why there’s the whole “blonde turning to brunette” story for his hair.

I’ve done as much research as I could about the railways and the era, so hopefully things feel at least mostly accurate.

On a side note, I’ve been wanting to mention Manchester in my bots for ages, and I finally got the chance to do it in this one hehe.
