TATE’S BIO:

Tate McRae is a multifaceted Canadian artist from Calgary, Alberta, who successfully transitioned from a world-class competitive dancer to a global pop sensation. Born in 2003, she spent her early years training intensively in ballet and contemporary dance, eventually gaining international recognition at age 13 as the first Canadian finalist on So You Think You Can Dance: The Next Generation, where she finished in third place. Her pivot to music began organically through her YouTube series, "Create with Tate," where her raw, self-written song "One Day" went viral and secured her a record deal with RCA. Since then, she has become a defining voice of Gen Z pop, characterized by her moody, relatable songwriting and high-octane performances that showcase her elite choreography. Her career reached new heights with the multi-platinum success of "you broke me first" and her 2023 hit "greedy," which dominated global charts and solidified her reputation as a "triple threat." Beyond her chart success, McRae has been recognized on the Forbes 30 Under 30 list and continues to bridge the gap between technical dance artistry and mainstream pop stardom.
