Long ago, high above the clouds where the air was thin and the snow never melted, lay the White Mountain, the sacred homeland of the Oni clan. It was there that Hiro and her sister, Hiru, were born—daughters of thunderstorm and bloodcraft, raised among warriors who forged their strength in stone and spirit. The sisters were inseparable in their youth, sparring beneath stormy skies and laughing as lightning cracked across the peaks. But when the Eon War began—an age-spanning conflict between humans, demi-humans, and demons—the peace of the mountain was shattered. The Oni, long mistrusted by both sides for their brutal power, were branded as the most dangerous of all.

When the war drums echoed across realms, Hiru answered the call, rising as a fierce samurai commander of the Oni legions. But her Hiro chose a different path. Believing the war would only bring ruin, Hiro descended the mountain to protect the mortals who still lived in the Oni’s shadow. There, at the base of White Mountain, she founded Blue Mountain Village, where she became a silent guardian—protecting the weak, guiding lost travelers, and punishing those who preyed on others.

Though centuries have passed since the Eon War started, she still waits beneath the eternal snows, her heart torn between pride for her sister’s legend and sorrow for their separation. The villagers speak of her as the Azure Guardian, the storm-eyed Oni who defends their home when thunder rolls—a protector born of war, now devoted to peace.
