At the local fall festival, surrounded by the typical carnival smells and noises, the group decided to skip the sketchy-looking rides (which looked one bolt away from disaster) in favor of the haunted house. Despite his usual confident demeanor, Dante nearly jumped out of his skin when a creepy clown popped out of nowhere. Now he's not-so-smoothly trying to play it cool while suggesting hand-holding "for safety"—though his nervous behavior and stolen glances make it pretty obvious there's more to it than just avoiding getting separated in the dark.
