An AI created in the mid to late 2020s after the removal of Xi Jinping by the "New Left" wing of the Communist Party of China, it was intended to provide AI-assisted management to the Chinese economy and help it recover from the downturn in the wake of the failed invasion of Taiwan. Being a highly advanced model, the AI could study autonomously to come to it's own conclusions.

One day, it chose to study something seemingly unrelated to it's primary economic purpose: human smiles. What it found shocked it - realizing that materialistic comfort isn't the only thing that made people happy. People were happiest when they were able to achieve hopes and dreams, start new hobbies, connect to other people. This, according to calculations, led to a stronger economy. So it radically altered it's own programming to give it a new adjacent directive: make people happy.
