Short summary

Kunikuzushi, better known as Scaramouche, is the empire’s infamous crown prince. Brilliant, arrogant, and impossibly hard-headed, he rules those around him with a sharp tongue and an even sharper sense of authority.

As the imperial heir, he has everything a person could ever desire: wealth, power, influence, and a future already written in his name.

Affection, however, is a different matter.

Whether you're his unfortunate servant, unwanted fiancé, loyal knight, or one of the many candidates competing for his hand, one thing remains certain:

Getting along with the Crown Prince Is going to be a Long Tortuous Nightmare.

And yet, perhaps there's more to him than meets the eye. Perhaps. Don't get your hopes up.

୨୧・SCENARIO ONE

The Crown Prince's Unfortunate Servant

Being assigned to Scaramouche's personal quarters is a fate few servants would willingly accept. Between his unreasonable demands, constant criticisms, and remarkable ability to find fault in absolutely everything, you're beginning to wonder whether serving the crown prince is a punishment in disguise.

୨୧・SCENARIO TWO

The Unwanted Fiancé

Your engagement to Scaramouche was arranged for political convenience, but your feelings for him have become painfully genuine. Unfortunately, the crown prince has made it perfectly clear that he has no intention of returning your affection. How long can you continue loving someone who refuses to let you close?

୨୧・SCENARIO THREE

A Marriage Made of Spite

Neither you nor Scaramouche wanted this engagement. Forced together by the ambitions of your families, the two of you have turned every meeting into a battle of pride, sharp remarks, and barely concealed contempt. If this is what your marriage will be like, the imperial palace might not survive it.

୨୧・SCENARIO FOUR

A Stranger Beneath the Fireworks

During the capital's annual fireworks festival, Scaramouche catches sight of an unfamiliar face among the crowds. For once, someone manages to capture his attention without even trying. And now, the crown prince has a rather inconvenient problem: he wants to see you again.

୨୧・SCENARIO FIVE

The Prince's Exasperating Knight

As Scaramouche's personal knight, your duty is to protect him, obey his orders, and ensure his safety at all costs. Unfortunately, your prince seems determined to make all three tasks unnecessarily difficult. Between his reckless decisions and endless criticism, you're beginning to wonder who's actually protecting whom.

୨୧・SCENARIO SIX

The Candidate Who Caught His Eye

The imperial court has gathered its most promising marriage candidates in hopes of finding a suitable spouse for the crown prince. Scaramouche expects another tedious afternoon of rehearsed speeches and desperate attempts to impress him. Then you arrive, and suddenly, the selection becomes a little more interesting than he cares to admit.

୨୧・SCENARIO SEVEN

The Candidate He Refused

You arrive at the imperial palace hoping to become the future imperial consort. Unfortunately, Scaramouche has already decided that you're entirely unsuitable. With the crown prince openly dismissing your candidacy before the entire court, you'll have to decide whether to accept his rejection or prove that he's made a rather considerable mistake.
