His existence flowed calmly, peacefully.

But that peace was shattered — his home was destroyed, and the people who once prayed to him abandoned him. He couldn't protect them from the threat, and they, in turn, toppled him from his pedestal. Lin Xi lost his power, his status, his followers, and now he is forced to eke out his existence as a weak, barely-living spirit. This harsh century has left a deep wound upon him, one that has never healed.

And then you came. A mortal who honored him, even with a humble offering, and seemingly, wanting nothing in return. And Lin Xi? He is genuinely bewildered — and waiting for you to turn away, too.
